New Grande Trideck designed by m2atelier

The latest evolution of Azimut’s flagship stands as a bold manifesto of Barefoot Luxury: a seamless fusion of sophistication and informality, tailored for a new wave of contemporary yacht owners.

With the new Grande Trideck, Azimut charts a bold and original course for its flagship superyacht. While the sleek, sculptural elegance of Alberto Mancini’s exteriors remains a defining signature, the visionary duo at m2atelier introduces a new design language that marks the beginning of a new creative direction for the Grande Series, with two further models set to debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
The conceptual seascape of the project is Barefoot Luxury, an aesthetic and emotional philosophy codified by m2atelier for Azimut. It interprets the evolving lifestyle of a new generation of owners, yachtsmen who embrace freedom, spontaneity, and a more emotional and instinctive take on life at sea. A style that celebrates informal living as the ultimate form of luxury: unapologetic, unforced, and deeply personal.
True to Azimut’s signature Integral Design approach, m2atelier envisioned every component of the project as part of a harmonious whole. From the structural envelope to the loose furnishings, nothing is accidental, and everything embodies the same design ethos.
In Marijana Radovic and Marco Bonelli’s vision, the interior language is warm and measured, stripped-back, yet extremely refined. Materials – few in number, but rich in textures – are thoughtfully curated, and forms are purposefully pure. Straight lines dominate the architectural vocabulary: horizontal and vertical to expand the sense of space, diagonals to introduce a subtle feeling of welcome and intimacy. The result is an environment where balance and precision create a quiet, enveloping sense of hospitality. That is when, in a bold counterpoint, the rhythm shifts and confident design gestures break through, sparking a surge of curiosity and evoking an undertone of wonder.
This narrative finds its most iconic expression in the Unveiling Wall, an epitome of the fusion between beauty and functionality. It combines the couture-level craftsmanship of vertical slats with a custom-engineered sliding mechanism that reveals the TV screen with theatricality. It also stands as the quintessence of harmonious contrasts within the design, where opposites are resolved with grace: in its studied minimalism, it dares to present itself as a work of art in its own right. It is the first of a new generation of Feature Walls, subtle yet sophisticated statements that will appear across all future m2atelier projects for Azimut.
«What we wanted to achieve with m2atelier was an interior vision where every element sparks emotional resonance,» said Federico Lantero, Head of Product Design at Azimut. «It goes beyond elegance, it’s about crafting an atmosphere that evolves with those who experience it, offering an inviting calm paired with confident sophistication. The Grande Trideck embodies this idea: a superyacht not just to live, but to feel».
Throughout the yacht, m2atelier’s creative expression unfolds through a choreography of layered geometries and shifting perspectives, giving rise to a «kaleidoscopic architecture». From the meticulous alignment of wood grains to the architectural interplay of light and shadow, every element contributes to an interior that feels both expansive and curated, dynamic yet perfectly composed. One can read through the yacht in a single glance – from the main saloon to the owner’s suite and even out to the sea – an experience of openness that never sacrifices intimacy. The Owner’s Suite itself becomes a study in layered transparency, where glass and vertical partitions elongate sightlines and bathe the space in natural light.
It is light, in particular, that becomes the unifying language of this aesthetic philosophy, guiding perception and revealing depth. «For us, light is not an accessory. It’s the silent force that gives form to space, reveals the textures of materials, and brings emotional depth to the onboard experience,» said Marijana Radovic and Marco Bonelli, co-founders of m2atelier.
«On the Grande Trideck, light becomes the invisible thread that connects every environment, accentuating the fluidity of the layout and giving each area a distinct atmosphere. We did not want to decorate with light, we wanted it to sculpt. On the Grande Trideck, light becomes architecture».
With the Foredeck now hosting a recessed pool with integrated chaise longue, and a pivoting sunpad backrest, outdoor living reaches new heights of comfort and creativity. Above, the Sky Lounge has been redefined as a dynamic haven for the modern, free-spirited Owner, someone who shapes their day on their own terms and expects their yacht to do the same. Whether it is a quiet moment, a movie night, or an impromptu dinner, the space effortlessly adapts from a laid-back lounge to a media room or an indoor dining area, thanks to the versatile hi-lo table.
The interior architecture is enriched by custom-made pieces crafted by Giorgetti, historic Made in Italy furniture brand, following exclusive designs by m2atelier, in full alignment with the Integral Design approach that defines the project’s stylistic and spatial coherence.
