This represents the pioneering use of carbon fiber to lighten yacht superstructures by up to 30%. This weight reduction allows for increased interior volume and stability without increasing total weight, thus improving performance and energy efficiency.
The R&D department has developed innovative propulsion systems that allow you to sail in electric mode or stay at anchor with zero emissions (Hotel Mode) without the use of generators. This technology guarantees maximum silence, no vibrations, and a lower environmental impact during life on board.
A high-efficiency yacht with fuel consumption reduced by at least 20% compared to the market average. (Compared to boats of the same weight and size with a traditional sharp-edged hull and shaft propulsion).
Azimut collaborates with the Lloyd’s Register certification body to officially validate the performance and structural safety of our yachts.
This is an international rating system, verified by third parties, which measures energy efficiency and CO2 emissions specifically for superyachts over 24 meters.
A GREEN HEART
Seadeck is the first Series of hybrid motoryachts for families and the first line conceived with a holistic approach, which integrates the solutions used on Azimut’s Low Emission Yachts with hybrid engines and on-board systems designed to reduce energy absorption. A combination that will allow the reduction of 40% of CO2 emissions in a year of average use, between navigation and stops at anchor.
THE FUN ISLAND
A surprisingly spacious and versatile stern area introduces the new concept of the Fun Island, an unprecedented open-air lounge au fil de l’eau, designed to experience the large spaces in total freedom and comfort. The entire Main Deck is transformed into a large space that offers the possibility of interacting with everyone, even with those in the water, breaking down the last physical and social barrier. It is the real and symbolic space of «fun». The Fun Island is completed by two opening wings and an aft platform that reveals a large staircase that descents into the water.
A CONCEPT OPEN TO NATURE
Alberto Mancini creates an innovative concept, in which from the very first sketches the exterior naturally interacts with the interior. The lines evolve from dynamic to sinuous and essential, tracing the infinite space of the Fun Island, for an authentic contact with nature and an extreme freedom on board.
A GENTLE DESIGN
Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez apply the conscious philosophy that distinguishes their approach to architecture in the interior design. The encounter with Azimut was born from the sharing of precise values: the desire to work in subtraction to let the heart of the environments emerge, the one in which to feel good, redefining the concept of luxury in terms of wellness, the careful choice of natural and sustainable materials, recycled and recyclable.
Our advanced toolkit
The Seadeck 7 features an innovative system that allows for zero-emission anchoring and navigation with the generator switched off, powering the yacht’s main onboard utilities while further reducing fuel consumption. This system, known as the Mild Hybrid Zero Emission Hotel Mode, relies on the combined presence of a 80 kWh lithium battery pack and an additional alternator connected to one of the three engines. Zero-emission autonomy at anchor can reach up to four hours during the day and eight hours at night, depending on weather conditions. While underway, 220V utilities such as the Seakeeper stabilizer and air conditioning can operate for up to eight hours even with the generator off.
The system opens new frontiers, making the benefits of electrification available on medium-sized, family-run luxury motor yachts for the first time. Developed in collaboration with Volvo Penta, this system enables Azimut to reach the 4th level of electrification within the hybrid electric solutions development program led by the Research and Development Center of the Azimut-Benetti Group.
In addition to allowing extended stays at anchor with zero emissions, in maximum comfort and full respect for the surrounding environment, the system further reduces emissions thanks to energy recovery systems, enables faster battery recharging in Fast Charging mode, and allows navigation and mooring in Pure Electric mode for limited periods of time. Gradually, in line with the regulatory timelines of individual countries and international organizations, this system will make it possible to access protected areas.
The system, which eliminates the need for a generator on board, is currently a pilot project and will be available by the end of 2026.
The collaboration between NAMES and Azimut’s R&D Department pushes the forefront of innovation, designing customized hulls for each Series with sector’s most sophisticated methodology. In comparison with standard planing hulls optimized for POD propulsion, the hull of the Seadeck is wider at the stern and more streamlined at the bow, allowing it to begin hydroplaning and therefore reducing drag at lower speeds. This advanced solution broadens the speed range at which the Seadeck can navigate at peak efficiency.
Azimut’s pioneering use of carbon fiber extends beyond pure performance. For the first time ever, up to 40% of the Seadeck 7’s surface is laminated with carbon fiber, which lightens those parts by up to 30%, allowing for an unparalleled optimization of consumption and CO2 emissions.
The Seadeck 7 can be equipped with 8,5 square meters solar panels* installed on the deckhouse, resulting in a total power of 1410Wp. The energy generated by the solar panels contributes to charging the battery pack, lowering CO2 emissions even further.
For the first time, Azimut has committed to using PET instead of PVC, reducing the amount of new plastic required. PET, a recycled material sourced from plastic bottles, makes up 30% of the total structure of Seadeck yachts. It is incorporated into all bulkheads and 65% of the interior deck, which equates to over 10,000 recycled plastic bottles per boat produced.
Persistent investment in the research and implementation of advanced technologies and sustainable materials has allowed the Seadeck Series to be the shipyard’s first to obtain the RINA GREEN PLUS class certification for its environmental performance, even in its standard configuration.
